Jackbooters Fuck Off

Today's fuck you is to all the jackbooters out there. You know who you are. You are the people who'll SCREECH about the government taking away your rights when it involves something you WANT, like abortion and the right to smoke weed. But when it's something you HATE, like guns, you push and push and push for ever more restrictive gun laws, advocating the very same police you complain about when they hassle YOU while enforcing a law you don't like, to put all the gun control scofflaws in a cage.
A pro 2a advocate pushing the war on drugs and advocating locking up the pot heads is just as bad.
Advocates of prohibition of what they don't like are too fucking stupid to realize they are really advocating government be granted ever more power, which can easily be turned around and used against them.
Jackbooterism is a disease. The only cure is to accept the things you don't like, so you can keep the things you do.

New Tech Sucks Big Balls

I never thought I'd turn into a Luddite. I used to LOVE tech. Bigger hard drives, higher capacity ram, faster CPUs, larger and higher res monitors, FUUUCK YEAH!!
I haven't changed, but tech did. It has gone through an enshitification process where making money went from making better products for customers to milking them. It's gone from bigger hard drives to renting cloud space, renting apps, and companies selling your data to advertisers and insurance companies. Own nothing, be happy. Fuck that shit.
Companies have made it hard for independent repair shops and DIYers too. They use digital locks and abuse the DCMA to threaten anyone sharing info on how to break them. Then you have the latest greatest from the tech bros, ai. They are building massive data centers which gobble up both power and water at prodigious rates. I'm sure the increased costs to the water and power companies to feed these pigs will no doubt be passed on to the ordinary mom and pop customers.
As I stated in an earlier post the tech bros building the ai data centers want to use them to replace all the white collar workers. So we went from tech helping people and providing more jobs via personal computers to stealing ALL the jobs with AI. New tech is cancer.
To the perpetrators, fuck you and fuck off.

When it comes to the courts, the gun control side never loses

Sadly when it comes to court cases, the gun grabbers might not win, but they NEVER lose. The court appeals process is long and expensive, so they drain pro gun groups of money, while the taxpayers are on the hook for the anti gun sides legal bills. The anti constitutional law remains in place the whole time, so at the very LEAST gun owners get screwed out of their rights for YEARS. Then IF(and it's a big if) SCOTUS even looks at the case it usually GVR's it back to the original, anti gun court for "reconsideration".

Thus begins the 2a circle jerk where the case has to go back through the entire appeals process to get back to SCOTUS. More time the anti constitutional law remains in place, more money drained out of pro gun groups. FINALLY SCOTUS rules said law unconstitutional, YAY, victory, right? Not so fast. The democrats who passed the unconstitutional law in the first place will just weasel word it and pass it AGAIN. An example of that is from Massachusetts. They simply replaced "may issue"(declared unconstitutional) with "good character". What is "good character"? Anything the police chief tells you it is. Good character = may issue. So now it's round robin back through the court system AGAIN. I believe a few other states now have "good character" provisions on ccw applications, but have not heard that any challenges to that have reached SCOTUS for consideration.
So via weasel wording "may issue" into "good character", may issue is back on some states ccw license applications and will remain so for many years to come. Sadly there is no electoral solution in rock solid blue states like Massachusetts, where the majority of people there HATE guns and even many of the gun owners are Fudds, but for people who live in purple and red states, NEVER VOTE DEMOCRAT, EVER. Primary out squishy anti gun republicans as well. With SCOTUS extremely reluctant to hear gun cases the courts are an expensive dice roll at best.

Yes, sling shots ARE legal(to possess) in Massachusetts

Sling shots are commonly considered to be illegal to possess in Massachusetts. The law commonly cited is section 12 https://malegislature.gov/Laws/GeneralLaws/PartIV/TitleI/Chapter269/Section12
“Whoever manufactures or causes to be manufactured, or sells or exposes for sale, an instrument or weapon of the kind usually known as a [long list, not going to post it all here] slung shot, sling shot [list continues],shall be punished by a fine of not less than fifty nor more than one thousand dollars or by imprisonment for not more than six months; provided, however, that sling shots may be manufactured and sold to clubs or associations conducting sporting events where such sling shots are used.”
Note the word “possess” is missing from this.
A listing of weapons where possession are specifically banned is listed on Section 10
https://malegislature.gov/Laws/GeneralLaws/PartIV/TitleI/Chapter269/section10
“(b) Whoever, except as provided by law, carries on his person, or carries on his person or under his control in a vehicle, any stiletto, dagger or a device or case which enables a knife with a locking blade to be drawn at a locked position, any ballistic knife, or any knife with a detachable blade capable of being propelled by any mechanism, dirk knife, any knife having a double-edged blade, or a switch knife, or any knife having an automatic spring release device by which the blade is released from the handle, having a blade of over one and one-half inches, or a slung shot, blowgun, blackjack, metallic knuckles or knuckles of any substance which could be put to the same use with the same or similar effect as metallic knuckles, nunchaku, zoobow, also known as klackers or kung fu sticks, or any similar weapon consisting of two sticks of wood, plastic or metal connected at one end by a length of rope, chain, wire or leather, a shuriken or any similar pointed starlike object intended to injure a person when thrown, or any armband, made with leather which has metallic spikes, points or studs or any similar device made from any other substance or a cestus or similar material weighted with metal or other substance and worn on the hand, or a manrikigusari or similar length of chain having weighted ends”
This part of the law DOES mention “slung shot” which causes confusion for many. A slung shot is NOT a sling shot.
From Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slungshot
“A slungshot is a maritime tool consisting of a weight, or "shot", affixed to the end of a long cord often by being wound into the center of a knot called a "monkey's fist". It is used to cast line from one location to another, often mooring line. The cord end is tied to the heavier line and the weighted end of the slungshot is thrown across the intervening space where a person picks it up and pulls the line across.

As a weapon
The slungshot was often used as a civilian or improvised weapon; however, the rope was much shorter for use as a weapon. The cord is tied around the wrist, and the weight is carried in the hand or the pocket of the user. A slungshot may be swung in a manner similar to that of a flail or a blackjack.”
This doesn’t mean that knocking over some tin cans in a back yard or woods comes with no risk. A cop could easily misinterpret a “slung shot” as meaning “sling shot” and it’s off you go to the liberal judge. Always remember, the law is whatever the judge tells you it is. So yes, you could still get jammed up, or at the very least get stuck paying out big money to lawyers due to a cop’s misinterpretation of this law.

Time to put prohibition to bed

I've wished for YEARS both democrats and republicans would DROP prohibition off their platforms entirely. An example for democrats would be gun control. Yes, that does include so called "reasonable" gun laws that aren't reasonable at all. Try applying those same rules to drinking. You have to go down to the police station and beg the chief for a license to drink. No hard liquor allowed, you are regulated to one bottle of wine or a six pack per week, you have to wait one to two weeks to pick it up after order, you have to pass a background check every time you go to buy booze. You need to provide 2 or more references, not related to you that are residents of the state you are living in(just moved in, don't have any local friends, NO LICENSE 4 U!). You have to take a drinking safety course as well.
Considering how many people have died from alcohol related incidents, none of this is unreasonable, right? After all, no one NEEDS to drink booze.
As for republicans, give up the war on drugs. It's none of your damn business what people ingest. Same for other "sin" laws, like prostitution and gambling. If someone wants to have a card game for money in their home or roll some dice, it is NONE of the governments business. Outlawing prostitution just leaves the women involved in that business with no where to go if they are abused. The world would be a much better place if Mr. and Ms. Morality, both left AND right stopped being busybodies and left others alone.

The big, NOT so beautiful bill...

Trump’s big beautiful bill passed and is going to his desk on the 4th when he will sign it. Hoopty fuckin do. The original bill had language in it that stripped short barreled rifles, short barreled shotguns, and suppressors off of the NFA list. But the Senate Parliamentarian, a woman appointed by Harry Reid, a democrat, apparently has the power of Jesus H. Christ when it comes to what can and can’t be in the bill. So this democrat appointed hack of fucking COURSE decided to strip out the pro 2a part of the bill.
Republicans had options. The bill goes to the house, where the original pro 2a section could have been added back in. John Thune, so called republican Senate majority leader, had the authority to fire the Senate Parliamentarian, and should have done so.
Instead of doing this, the House republicans replaced the original wording with a balless reduction in the tax to $0, but leaving all the registration(the part that fucking matters) aspects of SBRs, SBS, and suppressors in place. So the current BBB does NOTHING for gun owners, but cuts food stamp benefits, an attempt to balance the budget off the backs of the poor. This is a stupid move that will cost them votes in urban neighborhoods.
It’s so fucking aggravating how aggressive the democrats are when it comes to gun control, and how weak the republicans are when it comes to standing behind 2a.

To all the whiners about Trump's tariifs, STFU

I've been hearing a lot of bitching from the media and democrats about Trump's tariffs. The one word you NEVER hear from any of them is "reciprocal". In other words, Trump is tariffing all the countries which have had unfair, one way trade tariffs against the U.S. for decades.
If any of these countries don't like the tariffs, all they have to do is remove their own. Instead, many, like China, are doubling down and acting insulted, as if receiving the same treatment they have been giving the U.S. for years is an insult. It's like a long time bully acting outraged after his long time victim finally gets sick of it and punches him in the eye. Trump is the first president in memory to stand up to the Euros and Asians when it comes to trade.
I was wondering why that was so and started thinking about an old saying "follow the money". I wonder just how much money both the democrats and republican politicians got paid to sell out the working man for all those years they did nothing as terrible trade deals and one way tariffs caused U.S. manufacturing to crumble while an unsympathetic media and those same politicians told all the laid off workers to "learn to code".
Trump got all this shit dumped onto his lap, and is actually attempting to do something about it rather than ignoring the problem, as all the previous administrations, both republican and democrat have.
So I'd like to say to the media, democrats, and republicans who have ignored this issue for decades and are now complaining about the ONE person in office who is attempting to deal with this, fuck you and fuck off.
Yes, there will probably be inflation as these shithole countries(including many of our so called "friends") fight tooth and nail to keep the status quo, which is them fucking over the U.S., but that will eventually end when a taste of their own medicine becomes too painful for them, or manufacturing returns to the U.S.
Don't blame Trump for the pain, blame all the assholes in politics and the media who sold you out.

Dying U.S. comics industry getting thrashed by Manga

There is a reason why manga is crushing it while U.S. comics are dying. It's more diverse. If you like gay characters, manga has that for you. If you like soap opera slice of life drama, manga has that for you. If you like straight relationships and heroes punching bad guys, manga has that too. What manga generally does NOT do is race/gender/sexual preference swap long time established characters. There was never any attempt to "change the fan base", unlike U.S. comics where everyone is now gay or swapped out, the latest example being Moon Knight.
The objective of manga publishers is to sell books, and they do that well. The objective of big comics in the U.S. is to push an obnoxious, woke agenda that is unwanted by people who actually buy comics.
A YouTuber made a point that comics should be trying to interest kids into reading comics. Manga has been doing that for years, while in the U.S. the demise of the comics code authority has caused most books to be inappropriate for kids. While liberals will disagree, I don't think some pink haired twink drooling over Superman's ass is appropriate for children.
I'd say close to 100% of the 40+ comic audience started reading them as kids. Instead of trying to REPLACE the current comic audience with zoomer twots, it should work on keeping that audience and ADDING kids to the mix.

Maine shooting - lack of mental health care

Maine shooting

This is a result of bi-partisanship in the 80's. I've never seen bi-partisinship be anything other than a screwjob from the politicians on both sides to you, and this was no exception. During the 80's many of the mental health institutions were becoming dilapidated and were in need of either extensive repairs or replacement. The "solution" both federal and state politicians came up with was smirkily referred to as "mainstreaming". Instead of increasing funding for mental health it was cut. The politicians closed down most of the mental health institutions and released the patients onto the street. Not coincidentally the homeless population exploded as the crazies failed to adapt to a life they were not prepared for and wound up on the street. The situation now is that with most of the nuthouses closed down it is almost impossible to get in patient mental health care, and even then it is short term, as was the case with the Maine shooter.
"Card recently reported experiencing mental health issues, including hearing voices, and threatened to shoot up a military base in Saco, the law enforcement bulletin said. He was also reported to have been committed to a mental health facility for two weeks over this past summer, according to the bulletin."
So they only gave this nutter 2 weeks after he threatened to shoot up a military base. The ball was dropped. But the ball got dropped in the 80's when the politicians closed almost all the mental health facilities.
Gun control is the cheap band aid the politicians used to replace the nuthouses with. It has failed over and over and over and over again, but neither side to this day wants to pony up the money to build mental health facilities and house the nutters, not even the violent ones. Endless billions for Ukraine, the same for Israel, but not one penny spent to house violent nutters. They just want to take YOUR guns away so you can't protect yourself.
I give a huge FUCK YOU to both parties, but a bigger one to the democrats for not only assisting in creating the situation, but for pushing gun control too.

Wellness check, no 4th 4 U

I was reading about welfare/wellness checks conducted by the police. Some of these have resulted in death. Police conduct those on people if someone calls them stating they think that person has mental health issues. The cops don't need a warrant to force entry into your home for a wellness check. This is do gooderism gone horribly wrong.
A cop is neither a psychiatrist or psychologist, and is in no way fit to determine anyone's mental health. Anyone can call a wellness check on anyone. So it could be a relative who is legitimately concerned, but it could just as easily be some asshole out to get you hassled by the cops. When a cop shows up you have no right to silence. If you refuse to talk to the cop they can drag you by force to a psych hospital. If you resist they will beat or kill you. From what I read the smartest thing is to go outside, close your door behind you and tell the cop you are fine. See, if you let the cop in, they can and will use that excuse to snoop around looking for anything illegal. Even if you meet them outside, a particularly nasty cop can still insist on entry to your domicile.
Now if someone does legitimately have mental problems, or is just really upset because they got some bad news, the last person they want to see is a cop. Unless you are actively being mugged no one likes forced encounters with the police.
Naturally someone who is upset or mentally unstable will get more so after encountering a cop. And naturally the cop will escalate that situation till it becomes violent. Police should not be allowed to force contact with people who are not crime suspects just because some nervous ninny relative or spiteful asshole makes a phone call. During a wellness check you have no rights, you can only tell the cop you are ok in a polite, calm tone of voice and hope he goes away.

Inflation, Damage Control, and the Big Lie

Inflation has gotten ugly, and it looks like it is only going to get worse.
A friend, who drives an 18 wheeler for a living, says that in some places diesel is up to $6.00 gallon.
The democrats are trying to deny responsibility for any of this by telling the big lie which the press and big tech is dutifully parroting. They are claiming that Biden has absolutely no responsibility for rising gas prices or inflation.
The best lies are filled with half truths and there are a lot of those in the democrats talking points. Their claim that Biden did not ban domestic oil production is true. BUT Biden did ban fracking on public lands. Fracking is the only reason the U.S. regained energy independence. So no fracking, it's back to dependence on foreign oil. The second partially true claim is that oil companies can do fracking but are refusing to do so. Well this is kind of true, but what they leave out is this is due to a court challenge. So the oil companies challenged Biden's executive order and got a lower federal court to rule in their favor. But oil prospecting and drilling is an incredibly expensive operation. It is unlikely the oil companies will resume fracking on any federal lands until the appeals process is over. They are not going to risk setting up all that equipment only to be told they have to pull it all out again a year later.
Trying to claim Biden had nothing at all to do with any of this just isn't true. The other big claim is that it is all Putin's fault. This is fucking outrageous and only the dumbest people would buy into that, but some people are pretty fucking stupid. See, like an old Colombo detective show, the timeline just doesn't match. Putin invaded Ukraine in Feb 2022. Gas prices rose and inflation soon followed when Biden assumed office on January 20, 2021.
To sum it up, the democrats are blaming everything on greedy oil companies and Putin. But in both cases the timeline does not support them. Oil companies were ALWAYS greedy, so it is implausible that they suddenly decided all by themselves to pinch off domestic oil production just as Biden and the democrats took over.
There is a third, and overlooked piece of evidence that the democrats are lying. The green new deal. The green new deal is the Mein Kampf of the democrat party. It spells out exactly what they want to do. One of the main parts of it is to get America off of oil. Not as a long term goal, but as in NOW, ignoring the negative consequences.
Almost everything in the U.S. is delivered by truck. Electric trucks don't work. The batteries take a long time to recharge and they don't go as far as the diesel trucks.
Even if they forced people to buy electric cars, the diesel prices won't drop and food prices won't either. Welcome to inflation eternus.
This is why I despise the "greater good" philosophy the democrats operate under. They would literally force me and every other working schmuck into abject poverty if they thought it would benefit their idea of what the greater good is. To some of the most radical, like AOC, the extinction of humanity may serve the greater good of the planet. While that may actually be true, I don't want to volunteer to die or live in poverty for her agenda. Do you?

Trust the Science

Why should I believe the government or "trust the science"? The king of science, Dr. Fauci, at first told people they didn't need to wear masks. When he later stated people do need to wear masks he got accused of being confused, but there was never any confusion. Fauci ALWAYS believed masks were effective and should be worn. His first statement was a deliberate lie, told for the "greater good" in order to preserve the mask supply for people in the medical field.
Some people are OK with that. They are collectivists and are perfectly happy to cough their lives out on a ventilator for "the greater public good". Good for them if they want to be heroes of humanity, but as an individualist, I want to opt out. Fauci could have told the truth. He could have told people there weren't enough masks, and that people under 60 with no co-morbidities were at a very low risk of dying from covid. He could have told America's most vulnerable, the elderly, to mask up and avoid contact with other people as much as possible.
Once mask production ramped up he then could have told people that the mask shortage was over and that it would be a good idea for everyone to wear one.
So the next time I'm told "trust the science", if part of that means lying to me and putting me at risk for the "greater public good", fuck you and fuck off.

Alec Baldwin and gun safety

Regarding Alec Baldwin's accidental killing of Halyna Hutchins on the set of the movie Rust.
Would it really be that tough to conduct a one day gun safety course designed for actors?
Unlike everyone else, actors actually do have to point firearms at other people for gunfight scenes. So actors should be taught to not only check their guns to see whether they are loaded or not, but should be taught to recognize what type of ammo is in the gun. They need to be able to recognize blanks compared to live ammo. They should be taught to check the barrel for obstructions. Actors should also learn the minimum safe distance to be from someone when shooting blanks at them.
It appears that firing his gun wasn't in the script when Baldwin shot Hutchins. He was either confused or horsing around. Either way actors also need to be taught never to point their guns at people when it is not in the scene. The same goes for firing their gun, whether it's pointed at anyone or not.
I understand there is supposed to be an armorer to take care of all that, but this creates a single point of failure, which we have seen here and on the set of The Crow, where Brandon Lee was killed.

Cancel Culture - cancel yourselves, and fuck off.

There is a new, and shitty trend, pushed by big tech and the SJW left. It is to deplatform, or "cancel" people with opinions they disagree with. This is censorship, and it sucks. The proponents smirkely try to rename it "consequence culture" as if censorship of opinions they don't like is now a good thing. Censorship has always been a giant, stinking turd, bending it into a circle and putting confectionery sugar on it does not make it a donut.

Big tech, which got exemption from lawsuits by claiming it was a "neutral platform" is now acting like a publisher. They "fact check" and censor posts, sometimes even booting posters whose opinion they don't agree with off their platform. The "fact checks" are often political and not accurate. When the Hunter Biden laptop story came out anyone who mentioned that immediately got deplatformed on the basis of "disinformation", so no more Facebook or Twitter 4 U! The worm must have turned, because with the FBI looking into the laptop, it's not so easy to claim the laptop and emails were not Hunter Biden's anymore.

Another big no no was mentioning the possibility that COVID-19 came out of a Chinese drug lab. DISINFORMATION!!! So big tech was again deplatforming people, even though coincidentally there was indeed a drug lab in Wuhan, where the virus was known to have originated from. Whoopsie, looks like big techs so called "fact checkers" may have been wrong again.
Removing the voices of dissent is wrong and dangerous. It puts forward a myopic world view controlled by the billionaires of big tech and a rag tag group of SJW loudmouths. Liberals like Noam Chomsky and Alan Dershowitz never supported censorship. They know that stifling speech is bad for the country.

Public Safety, the enemy of freedom.

There is a magic word politicians bring up whenever they want to shit all over the constitution and your rights. That word is "Public Safety". You hear it a lot when the issue of gun control comes up. "How do we thwart that pesky 2nd amendment", the politicians thought. It is thwarted when politicians, backed by anti gun judges, pass unconstitutional gun laws claiming public safety supersedes your rights guaranteed under the constitution. COVID-19 is a shining example of this. When the pandemic first came out we were all told we had to lock down and mask up for two weeks to "flatten the curve" so that hospitals would not be over run. This sounded so reasonable that no one objected. Then the two weeks came to an end, and the lockdowns and mask mandates got extended...indefinitely.

One thing that was never stressed enough was that people under 50 with no co-morbidities were at almost no risk of dying from COVID-19. Yet these people were locked down with everyone else. In the case of COVID-19 one shoe did NOT fit all, but the government sure forced everyone to wear it.

The government chicken littles ratcheted up the fear, which kept the sheep placid and in line. When asked "when is this going to end?" by small businesses going broke and about to go under, the response was "when a vaccine is developed". It can take years, decades, sometimes never when it comes to new vaccines.

Landlords were also hurt as there was an eviction moratorium passed. Because of the lockdowns many people were out of work and could not pay rent. But you know what landlord still had to be paid? If you guessed big daddy government you would be correct! See, property tax is "rent" that landlords pay to the government. So while they got no rent from tenants, they were still expected to make property tax payments.

Hurrah, hurrah, hurrah, Trump fast tracked vaccine development, and the Trump..errr Biden vaccine came out and is now available to all. So all the mandates got retracted right? Well, hooold your horses there Buckaroo, because the dreaded Delta variant is here. The panic pushers are again out in force. "It's more CONTAAAGEOUS!", they scream, while not telling you that if you've been vaccinated the chance of death is next to zero, and is low even for the unvaccinated.

Now the government is trying to bully the unvaccinated by pushing for vaccine passports. At this point the vaccine is available to anyone who wants it. If someone wants to take the risk of getting sick, that is their business. The people who don't want to get fatally ill can take the vaccine.

No more mask mandates and lockdowns. With the vaccine available to all it is long past time for individual freedom to supersede the chains of public safety.

COPPA and Youtube, a screwjob from Google and the government to you

I live an a liberal state and the people in it LOVE big government, the bigger the better. They have this Pollyanna viewpoint of big daddy government taking care of people via socialism.
Well, in theory that's wonderful, but big government also means a big jackboot. Like, say, chemically castrating someone for being gay.
Or fire bombing a building in a densely populated urban neighborhood.
What could go wrong there! 61 houses burned down? Oooops!
COPPA is a "for the children" law that in its face looks benevolent. But along comes youtube, and the government and Google got in to a dustup over COPPA.
So Google winds up having to shit out $170 million. But the people who are really going to get the screw from this are the youtube creators.
Google, not wanting to shit out more money to the government, is foisting the responsibility for this abortion on to the creators. Creators now have to try to figure out(and this is NOT clear cut) whether their content is for kids, kids and adults, or just adults. Kid content gets demonetized, no $$$ 4 U!! Oh but it gets even worse. Because if a creator's content they labeled as adult is deemed "kid directed" by the government, they can get slapped with a $42,530 fine, per video.
While obviously Thomas the Choo Choo train is "kid directed" it can get fuzzy. Is a video with some toys in the background "kid directed"?
Maybe the solution is for creators to begin every video by saying "Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck" to the sound of disco with animated dancing penises in the background.

Welfare, time for reform

Mostly people on the left, but some on the right too won't like this. It's time to tighten up welfare. Usually when this is said people mean cutting the rolls. I don't mean that. I don't want to see anyone living on the street. However the state has been far too generous with welfare, and it's time to pinch it down.
Right now you have welfare people living in apartments with separate kitchen, living room and bedroom. They have free health care, spending money, and food stamps too.
Meanwhile you have mid and low income working people sharing a house with multiple people. They have to share a bathroom, and kitchen, sometimes with over 5 other people. They are often stuck with a high deductible health care plan where if they get sick they have to pay the bill up to whatever the deductible is, which is usually over $1000 dollars. Maybe if they make a little more they get to live in a small studio, nowhere near as nice as what welfare people get for free.
Who would ever want to get off welfare so they can live in a house stuffed with roommates, and get a crap health care plan to boot?
The system needs reform. Welfare people should get the same housing college dorm students do. Tiny rooms with communal bathrooms/showers on each floor. Health care could be like an HMO, they could go to a state run clinic that hires doctors on the cheap fresh out of medical school. Free food should be basic staples, it could be distributed at the dorms. Money given out should be minimal, maybe enough for public transportation.
Anyone who doesn't like this is free to get a job, there is certainly a lot more incentive to do so under that system than there is under the current one.
"But what about corporate welfare?" Get rid of it. If a company can't float itself without taxpayer money, let it sink.

4th of July, fuck off busybodies

The 4th is coming and you can tell from the waves of anti fireworks propaganda being shit out by the state and media. The annoying nag sign they have on a major highway makes sure to remind you every year that fireworks are illegal. The fire pig also posted a "fireworks safety" blurb on facebook which basically said that fireworks are illegal and scary so don't light any off. If you don't like the term "fire pig", then don't act like one.
Even going online looking for injury stats all you get are links to fear mongering articles. The following link is literally the ONLY stats article I found that was not anti fireworks propaganda. http://pyrokatt.freeservers.com/stats.htm
The 4th has turned in to a real cuck-a-palooza, they all come out of the wood work to pontificate and berate. They LOVE to lay on the guilt too, nice and thick. When "Fireworks scare dogs!" didn't work, the next guilt trip was "Fireworks scare veterans!" What about the fireworks shows put on by the "pros" that they always recommend in lieu of  lighting off your own? Don't those scare puppies and vets too? If you live in some urban area where everyone is jammed together balls to asscheeks, then expect loud noises.
Not everyone on the left is a cuck, but if someone is always pushing for laws to protect people from themselves while pontificating about it in a pompous, arrogant tone, yes, they are a cuck.
You know how to tell when someone is full of shit when it comes to stats? They give numbers, with no context or comparisons. "Oh, x amount of people were killed and injured with fireworks, and because of them being legal in more states THAT NUMBER IS GOING UP!!!!" While true, sir cuck, may I have some context with that? Like, out of all the people who use fireworks, what is the % of them that get injured? Just how does that % compare to other activities? Say camping, barbecue, jogging, etc? Do we need laws banning these activities if the % injury rates are the same or higher? If not, why not? Just what the FUCK is it about consumer fireworks that has every hand wringing busybody in the U.S.'s panties in a bunch? I wish the left in states that restrict or ban fireworks would fuck off. The media too. I find "don't light off fireworks because they are illegal, scary, and you might hurt yourself" pretentious, patronizing, and insulting. Stop treating me like a fucking kid, and if you are worried about "the children" then apply your shitty laws to people under 21 or 18, just like booze and ciggi laws do.

The NRA, time to clean house

I started smelling a rat with the NRA when they came out in support of both a bump stock ban, AND red flag laws.
https://www.scribd.com/document/414091915/NRA-v-Oliver-North
I was suspicious of Oliver North's appointment as well. His shady past just didn't seem to make him a good fit for a high profile position in the NRA. Now the above document makes North and Cox look like the bad guys, picking on poor aggrieved Wayne LaPierre. What I see is different. I see a bunch of dirty, stinking rats, all bilking the NRA and tearing each other apart in the process.
There are NO good guys here, rather a group of scoundrels having a falling out. I think some members have been like an ostrich while this has been going on, and I don't blame them. An NRA run by bilko artists primarily concerned with their own self aggrandizement is TERRIBLE for gun owners. It couldn't have come at a worse time, as Bloomberg's anti gun lobby has been going state to state spending millions to get gun laws passed. Bloomberg is fanatically anti gun, he is putting his own money in to this. An NRA rotten at the top can't win against a fanatic billionaire. And it hasn't. Bloomberg's every town for gun safety has been getting red flag laws passed in state after state. With the NRA supporting red flag laws Bloomberg's opposition has only come from much smaller groups like the GOA, SAF, and local jokel state gun rights groups. He's pushed a lot of other shitty state gun laws too, with great success in the purple states. Bloomberg is well aware of what is going on with the NRA and makes sure all of it goes out in the news. He doesn't even have to lie, which is a sad thing.
The NRA does have a board of directors, but that is an 76 dude clusterfuck that can't even find the toilet paper to wipe its own ass, let alone perform a much needed house cleaning. The NRA is in desperate need of an enema, but who is going to insert it?
